Colour Rescue, Three Decisions
This independent extension returns to the tiny recovered frames without pretending they contain more resolution than they do. Instead of enlarging them into a wall of pixels, the process plate keeps each image close to its useful scale and lets sequence, typography and negative space carry the explanation. Recover separates the building from the flat exposure. Rebuild gives the sky depth without making it the subject. Balance brings contrast and colour back into one believable world. A looping wipe then turns those three decisions into time: the correction is revealed as a chain of judgements rather than a magic filter. The acid line works as both timeline and diagnostic signal, while blue and red distinguish intervention from warning. The result is less a makeover than a compact lesson in restraint. Sometimes fixing an ugly image begins by resisting the urge to make it louder.

Colour Is a Chain of Decisions
A correction rarely fails because the controls are missing; it fails because the decisions arrive in the wrong order. This independent extension turns colour rescue into a physical control room. Neutral balance establishes a believable world, skin-tone protection keeps the human subject from paying for changes elsewhere, and contrast hierarchy decides what the eye should meet first. The scopes and calibrated chips are deliberately visible, but they do not perform magic. They make judgement inspectable. The before-and-after frames also keep the original lesson intact: improvement is not maximal saturation. It is the moment when every part of the image starts agreeing about the same light.

Colour Rescue, Packed Lightly
This independent field-kit study turns the project’s practical colour method into a portable workflow. A small set of reference cards, controlled light and three decision prompts helps a team diagnose footage before adding effects. The emphasis is judgement, not magic: preserve what is useful, separate colour problems from lighting problems, and make the smallest intervention that restores intention.
